With 185,000 residents and 3,800 companies, Cergy-Pontoise brings together technological and specialized industrial activities (such as computing, telecommunication, automobiles, aeronautics, biotechnology), commercial and logistics activities, research centers (such as SAGEM, Johnson Controls, Thales, Valeo, Clarins, etc.) and a major center for higher learning with 23,500 students, including 3,500 at ESSEC.
