The annual competitiveness cluster convention, which took place at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie on 30 November, attracted 800 attendees and once again highlighted the unique dynamism of collaborative innovation in Europe.
Christian Estrosi, Minister for Industry within the French Ministry for the Economy, Industry and Employment, emphasised the need to speed up the process of dismantling barriers between players, specialisations and individual sectors in favour of a broader, industry-based approach. He also announced a series of measures related to the government’s cluster policy, including: the creation of an “Inter-pôle” (inter-cluster) label, the launch of five world-class clusters based on existing competitiveness clusters, and closer collaboration between complementary clusters.
The event concluded with the presentation of the City of Paris Innovation Awards (Prix de l’Innovation), honouring innovative entrepreneurial initiatives that have enhanced the city’s growth and reputation for quality.
