Visit us during the MIPIM in Cannes

The Econovista Team will be present at the MIPIM Show, from 11th to 14th March, in Cannes. We will be pleased to welcome you at the Paris Region stand.
During these four days, we will make you discover the last version of Econovista by customized demos.

Higher education : 594,000 students in Paris Region

According to the french Ministery of Eduction, Paris Region welcomes 594,000 students in 2006- 2007. 17 public universities, a lot of business schools (HEC, ESSEC, ESCP-EAP, INSEAD, etc.), institutes of engineering education and research (ParisTech, ESIEE, Telecom SudParis, ...), Institutes of Technology, specialised bodies likes Beaux Arts de Paris, ...

The Eco-technologies Sector in Paris Region

The main exhibitions centres of Paris Region


Paris Region offers an unique exhibition infrastructure. Each year, Paris Region hosts 400 trade shows welcoming 9 million visitors and some 100,000 exhibiting companies.


The main exhibitions centres : total gross floor space in S.Q.M (1st january 2006) :


- Paris Expo Porte de Versailles: 228,000 sqm;

- Paris Nord Villepinte: 191,000 sqm;

- Paris Le Bourget: 79,000 sqm;

- Palais des Congrès de Paris: 19,000 sqm;

- Paris Expo CNIT La Défense: 18,000 sqm;

- Parc Floral: 11,000 sqm;

- Paris Expo Espace Champerret: 9,000 sqm;

- Paris Expo Carrousel du Louvre, 7,000 sqm;

- Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, 4,000 sqm;

- Grande Hall de La Villette, (under construction in 2005).

Grand TOTAL for the above ten centres : 616,000 sqm

Paris Region (Ile-de-France) leads Europe for High Tech sectors


According to an Eurostat survey (available here), The Paris Region (Ile-de-France in french) alone accounted for more than 4% of employment in high tech sectors in the EU-27. In that region, more than 400,000 people were employed in such sectors. No other region of Europe reached 2% of the EU-27 total.
